Welcome to my Blog (>^.^)><(^^<)

Sooo...this is my first Blog. 

Now, hopefully some day I'll come accross something where I think 'hey, that might be useful one day' and I'll remember it just long enough to post it here (^_^).

Live in hope of that day. Until then...

I thought I'd start off with some pictures I took with a camera (Canon PowerShot S2 IS) that I bought second hand recently from a friend.

Before I knew anything about focus, apature, exposure time, etc. (and even keeping the lense clean), I took this:

This single Bee has laid claim to this whole bush and chases away all the other bees (particularly the little native bees) that try to collect from it too.

This is a butterfly that was flying around my garden. I really like how the hairs on the leaf of the mint geranium stand out. The shot was a bit of a fluke really, but I'm getting more used to the settings now.  

 Ok, so I probably don't have to point out the fact that this is the moon, but I took the photo because I love seeing it in the sky when it's still light.

This was my first attempt at using one of those portable-bendy tripod things. It's a little wonky, but an otherwise really good photo of Grandma and me at the nursery. 

The following are of my cats, Kitty (M) and Missy (F). 
Both of them are very skilled at acting cute.
